Statistical issues in simulating the supply chain:
Since random samples from input probability distributions drives a simulated supply chain model, basic simulation output data such as a computed performance metrics is also random. The following are some sources of randomness that have to be modeled into a supply chain.
1) Delivery time for a product.
2) Lead time for manufacturing.
3) Inventory SKU for a product.
4) Demand quantity for a product.
5) Demand orders for a product.
6) Time parts spend in the queue.
