Supply chain implementation

Statistical issues in simulating the supply chain: All these sources of randomness in the supply chain have to be modeled by an appropriate probability distribution, not what is perceived to be the mean value.
Because of the random nature of the simulation input, a simulation run produces a statistical estimate of the performance and not the measure. For an estimate to be statistically valid and free of bias, careful selection of the simulation parameters is critical for the model. The design parameters of interest are:

1) Length of each simulation run.
2) Number of independent simulation runs. 3) Length of the warm-up period for a steady state process.
