New neighbor less than one day old born Feb. 10 2007


This Dragonfly BEGGED to be photographed... he hung around for quite a while... smiling.... posing... giving me plenty of time to focus!

Lunar Moth - maybe ??

Learned some neat facts through the power of observation!
The Caterpillars are created by the butterflies.
They EAT the Passion Flower Vine leaves...
Turn into a cocoon And...
Erupt into more butterflies!!
  We observed the whole process - IN ACTION!!
  BTW - Theyy've eaten the whole vine - down to stems!

hungry hummingbirds.
