Montrose Animal Protection Agency

MAPA was founded in 1974. It is a 501 C3 non-profit organization of dedicated volunteers helping the community with educational programs and spay/neuter assistance
for their dogs and cats.

MAPA is funded by grants, fundraisers and donations from individuals and businesses. Last year (2003), they helped provide funding for 600 spay/neuter operations. Each operation improved the health of the animal and saved the lives of countless unwanted puppies and kittens.

Although MAPA sometimes assists the City of Montrose animal shelter, it is not affiliated with it. MAPA is an independent,
non-profit organization.

Call or write for information on spay/neuter rebate availability.

MAPA meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Montrose Library Conference Room

Volunteers and donations are always welcome!
