        Seiya in a Nutshell
Seiya plays lead vocalist for a band called the
Three Lights in which he, Taiki and Yaten are in. This may shock you, but the Three Lights
are actually girls dressed as guys (but they actually do turn into guys). They come from
Kinmoku because their Princess Kakyuu has disappeared and they need to find her. They
figured  that girls are attracted to guys, so if they dress up as guys, the princess
might come to them. They also figured that rock stars are really popular so they become
rock stars. That was a pretty bad idea, because girls swarm them and Seiya becomes so
arrogant and conceited it's absolutely disgusting. (Can you tell Seiya is my least
favorite character? I'm apologizing in advance for those of you who actually like Seiya,
okay?) Seiya is very selfish and he has no regards or respect toward Serena. What am I
talking about, you say? I'll explain. Serena was at the airport to see Darien off to
college (I went through tissue box after tissue box in this scene) and Seiya sees Serena.
POW! It's love at first sight. Seiya immediately decides Serena is the girl he has to
have. (See what I mean? what a pig) He tells her
he wants to go out with her, so he tells her a place to meet and leaves before Serena can
react. (What is up with her? why didn't she just stand him up? Did she forget she already
has a FIANCÉ!?) Seiya doesn't care that Serena is engaged even though she tells him again
and again. How can I tell he doesn't care? Because he pursues Serena even though he knows
she is this close to getting married and he says he can replace Darien easily. (Whatever)
Why don't I like Seiya? Well, because he could never replace Darien, the man Serena loves.
He may love her, but she doesn't love him, that's for sure. Okay, okay, Seiya is kind of
romantic and would do anything to protect Serena and would probably give her every heart's
desire. But you have forgotten the simple fact that Darien is real man and Seiya is
NOT! He's just dressing up as one, so there's no question that Serena belongs with Darien.
Seiya was never meant to be a man in the first place so there's no competition between
Seiya and Darien in the first place. The creator of Sailor
Moon, Naoko Takeuchi, I hear, was pretty upset when they made him a man and I would be
too. Imagine them turning a girl character in one of your stories into a guy. How awful.
Anyways, Seiya returns to his home planet with his princess (and NOT Serena) at the end of
        the season (to my cheers).
