Collectormania 6 Report by Lear
For those of you unfortunate enough not to know, Collectormania is a film and comic convention that brings the general public, merchandise and actors together in one place...Milton Keynes Shopping Centre, for one hell of a weekend. This is my second time of going to this event, the first time was a year ago in October but due to the wonder of Virign Trains we didn't get there until late and so couldn't meet anyone...though after this year this can only be a good thing.However due to unforseen financial circumstances (I was broke) I couldn't go to the convention in April so had to wait until last weekend (1st to 3rd October) to go again and by Dumbledore I'm glad I went this time! The full report of the Potter connection will be put up within the next few days and I may do an off shoot that describes the whole weekend and a links section for related events for those who want to attend future gatherings. For the time being though I will report that there is one in London on the 6th and 7th, no Potter guests have been confirmed, but I will put up a list of guests for all to see and a link to the events official website.

Sorry about the stagnant state of the site as of late, been finishing my A levels and then starting uni have taken up more time than should be legal, so now that I'm settled in at Uni, I can start posting again.
This page is my report of my Collectormania Visit, on the 1st weekend of October, I went last year as well to the convention, but didn't get to meet anyone because of Virgin Trains (curses on them) and the lateness of their arrival, so this year determined not to miss out, (Wolfy missed out hahaha) my friend Vari and I went a day early and stayed over. Now when I say a day early, what I really mean is that we went down on the Saturday during the day, intending to go to the convention on Sunday as well as the Harry Potter talk, staying over night in a Holiday Inn (fantastic place with amazing staff) and on Saturday night attend the Collectormania party. The trains down were flawless, and we upgraded to 1st class for the majority of the journey (highly recommend upgrading whenever you can!)
After getting into Milton Keynes and getting taxied to the Holiday Inn and sorting ourselves out, we went downstairs to wait in the bar until the party. Whilst waiting we met an amazing group of four people and by the time we went into the party we had formed "The Fellowship of the Rock"
