Australia 2007 - Living and Working
The view of the Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House from our apartment in McMahons Point! Is this living in Sydney, or what?
Starting Work

We both started our new jobs on October 9th, about a week before we moved into our new apartment. Erin's job was training new mortgage brokers with an intensive 2-week course (which she had to pass and learn first!). Glenn took a role with the 2nd largest chicken producer in Australia as a project manager in business improvement, a role which quickly transitioned into a national planning manager role. Erin enjoyed her new role, but now knew it would be temporary, thanks to the new addition to our family! Around Christmas, it was safe to share the news with coworkers (although we'd long since spilled the news to our friends and family!). We took a week on holiday up at scenic Port Stephen at Christmas, but made sure to return in time for New Years fireworks from our fantastic view! We also enjoyed summertime, taking ferry rides to the city and Darling Harbour and taking advantage of the apartment pool.
Above top - the Harbour at night, with bridge and antique Luna Park. The entry to Luna Park above right, with its gaping mouth. Above left, some random fireworks - they happen almost weekly near the Opera House, and we seldom know the occasion! At left, a possom that visited us several times at our last housesit in Castlecrag to get some free fruit. He was blind, so he came during the day, not realizing it wasn't a normal possom visitation hour.
