Saturday morning and our first full day in Noosa. We don't have any real plans while here except to relax and pretend that we are on vacation. Aren't you suppose to "take it easy" while on vacation? Again, we are starting to wear down from being gone for so long. We are very excited about Fiji including the wedding and seeing friends and family. We are only one week away from Fiji.

The house we are staying is fantastic and we are really appreciative of the place to stay in such a wonderful location. Our first stop of the day was to introduce ourselves to the neighbors so they would not wonder who we were as Nerida (the owner of the house) is in England so we have the house to ourselves. We met Geoff who was very friendly as we chatted for a little while about travels and the people we meet along the way. After meeting Geoff we headed to the Eumundi market which was recommended by Jo. We spent a few hours at the market which was a very nice arts and crafts market with many handmade items. Luckily there were not many bulk tourist items to wade through. We bought a few items that we will take to Fiji with us for our family and friends to take home for us.

After the market we drove into Noosa Heads to check it out. We drove to the entrance to the National park where I hope we will trek through while we are here. We also stopped for lunch and internet time before going grocery shopping. Today was a little overcast with a slight drizzle but nothing bad. Grocery shopping was the chance to buy food for the next 4 days and it would be nice to have home cooked meals for a while. We also located the cinema in town and picked up a schedule just in case we made the time. Actually I am confident that Erin will have me at the cinema at least once in the next few days, no worries!!!
We returned home around 5:00 pm and spent the evening relaxing around the house including journals, listening to music, and a little television. Tomorrow we are looking forward to phone calls from family and friends in the morning starting at 7:30 am.

Sunday morning and I am up early (6:00 am) as I fell asleep last night on the living room floor while trying to watch a movie with Erin. She stayed up and watched the whole movie as we went to bed just after midnight. This morning we had phone calls from family and friends planned. When we know where we are staying for a while we have friends call us from home. The usual schedule that we currently have is the my parents will call at 7:30 am (our time), Judy, Erin's mom, calls at 8:30 am, and then friends call after that. I spoke with my mom and dad for an hour and we spoke mostly about the trip to Fiji for next week. Erin talked with her mom for an hour about all kinds of things and then Stefanie called around 10:45 am and Erin and I both spoke with her for a while. We will see everyone next weekend in Fiji as our parents, Stef and Tim Hickey (friends from L.A.), and Jim and Sue Doll (friends from Seattle) join us for the all important Wedding day (and a week holiday in Fiji doesn't sound bad either). We are excited about our family and friends joining us.

After the phone calls we spent the afternoon at Sunshine Beach. We are south of the Great Barrier Reef so there are not concerns about "stingers" so we could swim in the ocean without worry. After 3 hours at the beach we returned home and cleaned up before our date tonight. The date included the movie "Just Married" at the Noosa 5 cinema in town. We thought the movie would be appropriate for us as we are soon to be married. We hope our honeymoon is less stressful. We will be honeymooning in Bali and hopefully that will be very relaxing with plenty of massages and beach time. We returned home and caught another movie on the television before calling it a night. We have no plans for tomorrow but I am still hoping to go for a hike around the National Park.
