Sunday morning and everyone was starting to get over the jet lag but another day of relaxing would not hurt. Everyone awoke when there bodies woke them and most of us enjoyed a continental breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, juice, fresh fruit, and muffins. After breakfast we spent the day kayaking and snorkeling along the reef. After the snorkeling we resided to the pool where we relaxed and caught up with life in the states. Lunch included cheese and crackers that they had purchased in the market yesterday. Some took naps during the afternoon but it ended up being so humid that most could not get to sleep. Today was a very hot and sunny day all day long. Some also stopped to take sunset photos from the beach. What a beautiful place!!!
We made it to happy hour where Erin enjoyed some wine before dinner. Dinner was at 7:30 pm and was a buffet style. We sat around the pool after dinner and most retired early to bed as they were still getting over the jet lag. Tomorrow we will head into Sigatoka where Erin and I will get a marriage license before we all enjoy some shopping.

Monday morning and we all worked our way through the breakfast line before departing for Sigatoka around 9:30 am. Khan was our driver and he quickly took a liking to my sister, who is single. They chatted up during the entire trip into town. Our first stop prior to town was Baravi Handicrafts, which had come highly recommended to us by a few different people. Supposedly there prices are much more reasonable than the tourist shops. Our first stop here was to check out what they had and their prices so we would have an idea before buying anything in town.
Our second stop for the day was at the Sigatoka court house where everyone watched in curiosity as we turned in our birth certificates and passports so they could prepare a marriage license for us. The courthouse was quite interesting as it was a small unpronounced building where paperwork from births to deaths were processed. They handled our paperwork promptly and within 15 minutes we had signed our intent and were on our way.

We then stopped in front of Jack's, which is a chain of stores in Fiji selling tourist items. We spent a half hour in Jack's before adventuring out into the town of Sigatoka. We all knew what time to meet back so we went our own ways as we wished. Erin and I walked around to a few other stores before finding our way to the local market place. The local market requires some strength a fortitude as each and every stall owner will pull on you to check out there wares. Some even offer free items just so you will feel debted to buy something from them. Judy joined us for this section of the market and we helped her through the area without too much problem. The others had been in Sigatoka on Saturday to buy groceries and had shopped a little bit. Today Sue was even pulled back into a store that she had been in on Saturday because the lady recognized her. She was even grabbed as she was crossing the street. I heard that Jim just laughed at the whole ordeal. We finally made our way to the grocery store where we shopped with Judy, Stef, and Tim, including buying plenty of champagne for the wedding day.

We met back up with Khan around 12:30 pm and found everybody ready to go. We stopped along a stretch of beach on the way back for some lunch. It was a pretty secluded beach but we did manage to notice a man at an individual stall selling his wares. Khan asked him to give us local prices and we ended up buying a Fijian mask at a decent price.

After lunch we stopped back at the Bavari Handicraft store where we went to town buying all kinds of things. Erin and I bought the Tim and my dad brain pickers (Yes, I said brain pickers) and we bought Jim a brain basher from the cannibalistic days on the island. These were gifts for their attendance to our wedding as we had purchased lavendar products for the ladies while we were in Tasmania in December. I can't remember what the others bought but it was a few things. We returned to Crusoe's where we spent the rest of the afternoon either at the pool or napping. Before dinner a bunch of us walked up the hill from Crusoe's to take some fantastic sunset photos from a different vantage point. Happy hour and dinner with all of us again tonight. Nothing special after dinner as some were going into Nadi tomorrow for a day trip around the islands nearest the west coast. The others were just going to enjoy the day at Crusoe's.
