One of the things Glenn will make sure not to miss is bungy jumping in New Zealand (where it all started). This one was a bit high, though!

Tuesday morning and we are packing in preparation for our last few days in South Africa. Chris and Denise dropped us off into town. We thanked them very much for everything and wished them well in the rest of their trip. Erin and I had planned to use the internet today and spend a little time in town before we had to catch our bus at 3:30 pm. We dropped in to the Postnet in town and used the internet for a few hours. We had plenty of e-mails to send as we were very excited to announce our engagement. We had to e-mail the folks and family first then all of our friends. I also had to get my ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) for Australia and book our flight from Perth to Adelaide for the following week.

After all of our e-mailing Erin wanted to have lunch at the Blue Chili, a tex-mex restaurant. I couldn't believe she would take the chance after the terrible food we had in Crete, Greece. Lunch was actually pretty good but the service was a little slow. After lunch Erin ran off to mail some postcards and call hostels in Port Elizabeth so we would know where we were staying tonight. She came back and had saved a room at the hostel recommended by the guide book and a few other travellers. We made our way to the Shell station which was also the bus stop. We arrived at the bus stop around 3:00 pm but the bus ended up being late and arrived around 4:00 pm. After almost a three hour bus ride we arrived into Port Elizabeth around 7:00 pm. We taxied our way to the hostel (which the hostel paid for, if you call first), dropped our bags and headed back out for dinner.

The "Mediterranean" restaurant was recommended and was within walking distance so it was a good choice. We arrived at the restaurant only to find out that they were full. Lucky for us another person staying at the hostel saw us and invited us to join him at his table. The manager agreed and we were seated. Guenter is from Germany and travelling around South Africa for four weeks. Dinner was fabulous as well as the company. We struggled a little to understand his accented English while he struggled sometimes to understand ours. After dinner we returned to the hostel, chatted with a few folks before retiring for the evening. Guenter had invited us to join him in the morning to visit Addo Elephant Park.
