We slept in this morning as we are still working off the slight jet lag remaining from the flight. After a very slow start to the day with breakfast and showers we finally managed to get out of the house around 12:00 pm. Today we headed out east towards the little town of York. On our way to York we had agreed to stop into a Sunday market. Enjoy checking out the different markets in each city as you never know how similiar or how different they will be. We are always looking for that unique piece for our collection. We spent an hour or so at the market before we headed off to York. We stopped for lunch along the drive to York. Adele had prepared another wonderful homemade lunch with plenty to eat.

York is the oldest inland town in Western Australia dating back to 1831. The town has restored many of the buildings and the town is classified by the National Trust. Our first stop in York was the Motor Museum which houses one of Australia's best collection of vintage cars. We arrived just as they were closing (it was Sunday and we had arrived just after 3:00 pm). The curator was nice enough to let us in anyway and allowed Ken and I the chance to look around for 45 minutes or so. (The ladies were not so interested so they checked out the town.) We were very impressed with the collection but they were in the process of relocating to Freemantle in the coming month.

After our stop at the Motor museum we stopped at a suspension bridge which led us through a park towards the old churchI could only imagine the history that these buildings have lived through. If only the walls could talk!! E also stopped into the Jah-Roc Mill gallery which displays some extraordinary furniture (I liked the bed frame and office desk) as well as other arts and crafts. We spent another hour or so looking through the gallery before we realized that we would be late getting home for dinner with Fiona and her family.

We arrived home about an hour late but it all worked out as Fiona had prepared most of the dinner for us. Dinner was enjoyed by Fiona,, her husband Murray, and their 3 kids (Yael, Hachlan, and Teishan). Adele's mother Merle (90 years old) joined us later that evening and had many an interesting story to share. We enjoyed the evening tremendously. We finally crashed around midnight.
