Monday morning and we are off at a pretty relaxed pace today. We packed our things and checked out of the caravan park around 10:00 am. It took us an hour or so to get to Seal Bay but it was well worth the drive. We took the 11:15 am tour of the beach which was very interesting. We spent a half hour with a guide walking along the beach watching the seals enjoy the day. We were required to stay at least 6 meters away from the seals as not to disturb their natural habits. We enjoyed watching a baby call for its mother and upon finding her stop to suckle on her. We watched a few young males practicing their ability to fend off other males (again another survival of the fittest). We even watched some young seals playing in the surf. After the tour we walked to the boardwalk and viewing area where we spent the next hour or so watching the seals in action (mostly sleep). There was also a mother and baby under the boardwalk and the baby was suckling. Fantastic!!!

After our time at Seal Bay we went on to Vivonne Bay where we enjoyed lunch while sitting on the beach. Very relaxing and beautiful. After lunch we made our way back to Penneshaw to catch the afternoon ferry. We arrived in Penneshaw early so we had time to get gas in the car and check some e-mail at the nearby business center. We arrived at the ferry in time to load the car on and take off at 4:30 pm. The ferry ride was uneventful as we watched the island disappear from our view.

We arrived in Cape Jervis around 5:20 pm where we quickly took off heading towards Victor Harbor before finally arriving in Strathalby for the evening. We arrived around 7:00 pm and, after a little detour, found our way to the Robin Hood Hotel. The hotel was decent and dead quiet on a Monday night since the attached restaurant is closed on Monday nights. We found a pizza joint across the road where we ordered take away and enjoyed dinner talking to a couple of local blokes. We called it a night around 10:00 pm. Tomorrow we are off to Beachport.
