This is my new close helm.  I absolutely love it.  It's incredibly comfortable to wear and it takes shots like they were boffers.  This helm is done by Craig Nadler, and you can access his site by clicking on the helm.  Craig does not take commissions, but his patterns are all available.  Go look, he does fantastic work!

This is the historical armour that has inspired me.  I'll be making some modifications on it, but with the helm at the left, this brigandine coat of plates will look dang spiffy.  Click on it to see pics of the kit I actually fight in right now. Another important thing about the SCA is heraldry.  I'll look great in my armour, and I sure hope I fight well enough, but I needed a shield device that would be unique to me.  Click on this text to see my shield device.
