False and Prophecies that Failed |
WHICH IS IT, ANYWAY? |
WHAT???? |
Problems With The Prophets.... Problems with the Book of Mormon |
DID THEY REALLY SAY THAT??? |
2 NEPHI 12: 9 "And the mean man boweth not down, the great man humbleth himself not: therefore, forgive him not." |
ISAIAH 2:9 "And the mean man boweth down, the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not." |
COMPARE THESE TWO VERSES.... |
At first it would appear that Joseph Smith straightened out the Book of Isaiah. If mean men don't bow down or great men don't humble themselves, in all fairness, they shouldn't be forgiven...... However, if you read the verses in context (read verse 8), you will find that Isaiah was not talking about men who will not bow down to God; instead Isaiah was talking about men who do bow down to idols! You see, both small and great men were bowing down to idols and things made by their hands and God isn't willing to forgive them of that. |
FRENCH WORD ..... FROM REFORMED EGYPTIAN??? |
LAST VERSE OF JACOB IN THE BOOK OF MORMON: "I make an end of my writing upon these plates, which writing has been small; and to the reader I bid farewell, hoping that many of my brethren may read my words. Brethren, adieu." |
Adieu? How can a French word be translated from Reformed Egyptian into English? |

ETHER 15:31 Ether ends with a scene in which Coriantumr kills a man by the name of Shiz by "smiting off his head." Ether 15:31 says that after his head was smitten off, Shiz rose up on his hands and strugled for breath and died. How does a body apart from it's head, rise up on its hands and struggle for breath? |

--In "The Young Woman's Journal, Vol. 3, p. 263: Joseph Smith said that men live on the moon, are about 6 feet tall. He said they dress like Quakers and lived an average of 1,000 yrs. ---In History of the Church, Vol. 2, p. 182: Joseph Smith prophesied that by 1891, Jesus would return to Earth. ----In the Journal of Discourses, Vol. 13, p. 271: Brigham Young said that men live on the Sun. -----In the Journal of Discourses, Vol. 16, pgs. 333-4: Orson Pratt said that before men and women are born on earth as babies, their spirits are adult-sized in heaven. Then, they are born and their spirits are compressed. This causes a loss of memory. |
MEN CAN BECOME GODS..... |
"As man is, God once was; and as God is, man may become." Mormonism promotes and teaches of an infinite number of Gods. Orson Pratt once stated in "The Seer" of Washington D.C. in 1854 (p. 132) the following: "We were begotten by our Father in Heaven; the person of our Father in Heaven was begotten on a previous heavenly world by His Father; and again, He was begotten by a still more ancient Father and so on, from generation to generation, from one heavenly world to another still more ancient, until our minds are wearied and lost in the multiplicity of generations and successive worlds, and as a last resort, we wonder in our mind, how far back the genealogy extends, and how the first world was formed, and how the first Father was begotten." |

The Mormon Jesus is not the same Jesus of the Bible. |
Brigham Young spoke of Jesus' birth in Vol. 1 of the Journal of Discourses (p. 50-51): "When the Virgin Mary conceived the child Jesus, the Father had begotten him in his own likeness. he was not begotten by the Holy Ghost...Remember from this time forth, and for ever, that jesus Christ was not begotten by the Holy Ghost, it would be very dangerous to baptize and confirm females, and give the Holy Ghost to them, lest he should beget children to be palmed upon the Elders by the people bringing the Elders into great difficulties." (See also the J of D. Vol. 8, p. 115.) Orson Pratt spoke of Jesus Birth in "Pratt", p. 158 "The Father and Mother of Jesus, according to the flesh, must have been associated together in the capacity of Husband and Wife; hence the Virgin Mary must have been, for the time being, the lawful wife of God the Father; we use the term lawful Wife because it would have been blasphemous in the highest degree to say that He overshadowed her or begat the Saviour unlawfully." Heber C. Kimball spoke of Jesus Birth in Vol. 8, p. 211 "I will say that I was naturally begotten; so was my father and also my Saviour, Jesus Christ. According to the Scriptures, he is the first begotten of his father in the flesh and there was nothing unnatural about it." Bruce McConkie spoke in "McConkie, p. 742: Christ was born in the same personal, real, and literal sense as any mortal son is born to a mortal father. There is nothing figurative about his paternity; he was... conceived and born in the normal and natural course of events." Joseph Fielding Smith spoke also about the birth of Christ in Doctrines of Salvation, Vol. 1. p. 18: Christ was not born without the aid of man and that man was God." Is this anything close to what the Bible says? See Matthew 1 : 16-25, Luke 1: 26-35 Luke 1: 34 - 35 "And Mary said to the angel, 'How can this be, since I have no (intimacy with any man as a)husband?' Then the angel said to her. The Holy Spirit will come upon you , and the power of the Most high will overshadow you (like a shining cloud); and so the holy (pure, sinless) Thing (Offspring) which shall be called the Son of God."
