It's been another busy year watching Liam grow (he turned 2 in April).  To feed his train addiction we traveled to Strasburg, Pennsylvania in April, returning again in July.  Liam really enjoyed all the trains, and the Dutch Wonderland amusement park (which also included trains).  He aslo enjoyed the B & O Railroad Museum in Baltimore, and the annual Christmas train displays at our local fire station.

Since moving into our house we've hoped to replace the drafy, noisy windows with something better.  This year we finally had new siding and windows installed to keep us warm.  We also took on a large do-it-yourself project and got rid of the old panels in the family room and made this the dining room.  Some highlights of that experience included discovering that the wall behind the paneling was unpainted, unfinished drywall.  But we're happy with the end result, especially our new tile backsplash above the fireplace.

This year Kim's back continued to deteriorate until we felt the only option left was surgery.  We're very relieved that this made all the difference.  She's now mostly pain free as she continues to build up strength and flexibility.  We hope this is the end of what has been a very long, year and a half trail.

Attached is a picture from a Halloween pary we attended this year.  And yes, it's still my favorite holiday.

So we look on the year we're thankful and blessed.  And we hope that you will have happy holiday's and a joyous New Year.

Tim.
