The Colorado Class of '82 Reunion was held at a university dormitory.  It doesn't sound very special but it was a great place.  We took over a dorm lobby most of the time.  Since we ate at the cafeteria, we could sit at the tables and talk for as long as we wanted.  It turned out to be just the relaxed kind of atmosphere (and affordability) we needed.

Friday evening:  People were arriving periodically.  Everyone just sat around talking and sharing photos.

Saturday morning:  More talking.  We took our group photos.  We took sack lunches from the cafeteria and headed out to the Garden of the Gods park not far away.  We enjoyed a short walk into the park and then sat and talked as we ate lunch.  Most of us got caught in a short little rain shower.

Saturday evening:  Debbie Lee had arranged a Chinese dinner at a local restaurant.  We had beef noodle soup, spring rolls, jaudzs, and a few other delicious entrys.  Some other folks joined us for dinner:  Mr. Dennis, Mr.??  I can't remember who? After the dinner, Mark Skiles surprised his wife with a special solo in honor of their ?15th? anniversary.  I thought Mark had a lot of guts to do that at the restaurant - a very sentimental guy!  Vicky, you're lucky:)

Back at the dorm we played the Winslow's charade type game.  Then we had a more organized sharing session.  Someone had prepared questions, such as, Tell a sports memory or Tell about a time you got in trouble at MCA;  and questions like that.  Everyone had a question to answer and it was fun to reminice.  We also talked about and remembered and missed everyone that wasn't with us.  Different ones of us had information to share on those that weren't there.

Sunday Morning: People left through out the morning.

A good time was had by all.  Everyone has matured nicely!

- Beth Jones-

The 20 year reunion in Colorado Springs was a completely
unexpected gift of life. I assumed I would find older, world-weary, and reluctantly wiser people.  Instead I found joyful, cautiously confident, calmer, graciously accepting, and gladfully wiser classmates.

It was not only fascinating, it was simply compelling that we use the day to catch up and stop into each other's lives in a brief but powerful journey. I am richly blessed for having been able to attend this weekend.

I hope we can continue to check in at regular intervals in our lives, and pull in the rest of our classmats, for it is simply inspiring to reconnect with the people we launched our adulthood with those few years ago.  And there is something powerful about that group of 38 from 1982... we were a team back then, and we continue to be a team today.  There is still a sense of our particular Morrison family, a group strength that has a sense of responsibility to quietly lead and give back to others.

With love, Rosella
