Editors: Paul Frederiksen & Angela Trentham A Note from the Editors 'How much fun we had, getting to catch up with you! Our thanks to those of you who responeded to the questionnaire quickly... and our apologies for letting "life happen" and gettin gthis issue out later than we expected. It's been a little more than a year since our last newsletter, and it's good to have it completed! Who's next? Which of you would like to take over, and produce the next newsletter? Please volunteer so we don't have to send Our Men out after you. We need money! This letter has cost approx. $70 to produce and mial. Contributions totaled #35 from four classmates and we thank you ever so much for underwriting this issue!). So...if we want to continue, we'll need to establish a larger fund to support the project. Can you help? Checks can be sent to Angela; and she will forward the fund to the next editor(s) and a report to the class. As you read, keep in mind that, with few expeections, these letters were written during the fall of '98. There is address info list attached. Please let us know of typographical errors and updates. |
This 1999 issue of the Class of 82 Newsletter is dedicated with a great amount of appreciation to Debbie Lee Wolf. Debbie, we thank you for the time and effort you have given to this project for the past (could it be?) seventeen years. Your involvement has been so in character with the Debbie we all remember from high school. Some of you may not be aware that Debbie had surgery and tests a year ago for breast cancer. The pathologist's report was postive, in that the lumps removed were either benign, or of a mostly non-invasive cancer. Lymph nodes removed were clear. It was during blood work taken last spring that she and Jon learrned they were expecting their third child in December. At that point, she began to search for someone else to take the newsletter responsibility - and we were happy to fill in. After a successful pregnancy, 4-5 weeks of radiation were scheduled for January. Debbie, we're anxious to hear an update. In the course of corresponding last summer about this newsletter, Debbie shared this passage of scripture: "Unless the Lord had given me help, I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death. When anxiety was great within me, Your consolation brought joy to my soul." Psalm 94:17-19 This issue is for you, Debbie. We love you and send our thoughts and thankful prayers for God's miraculous healing and renewal of life! |
