First, the 2005 Cabell Huntington Hospital Tennis Classic was an unbelievable success by all measures.  Briefly, about 2,000 students were entertained and inspired by the players in Ashland, KY -   The Sponsor/Players' Reception was attended by over 500 - 200 young players enjoyed the Free Junior Clinic - over 2,200 attended the Main Event - and most importantly over $100,000 was donated to Hospice of Huntington to assist in the completion of the Hospice House.  Thanks to all who assisted in this GREAT EVENT!

Now - to Jeff's tennis.  Jeff is healthy and training to begin his 2006 in Hawaii at the Hilton Waikoloa Challenger which begins on January 23, 2006.  He chose to not travel to Australia due the need to qualify for all the events there.  Check here for updates as the 2006 season begins - and let's hope for a healthy and prosperous 2006 for Jeff!

September 19, 2005 - Lubbock Challenger - Lubbock, TX - Doubles First Round - #2 Seed Jeff Morrison - Amer Delic (USA) def. Monroe/Wurtzman 6-3, 7-5.  Jeff is seeded #3 in singles, and will play Benjamin Becker (GER) in the first round on Tuesday.

September 17, 2005 - World Team Tennis Finals Weekend - Final Match - Sacramento, CA - New York Sportimes (Jeff's team) defeated the Newport Beach Breakers.  Jeff lost his doubles match, but clinched the Championship with an overtime game win over Ramon Delgado in the final match. 

September 16, 2005 - World Team Tennis Finals Weekend - Semifinal Match - Sacramento, CA - New York Sportimes (Jeff's team) defeated the Boston Lobsters.  Jeff won both his singles and doubles matches.  Finals will be played on Saturday, September 17, 2005 and will be televised on ESPN2 on Thursday, September 22 at 11:00 PM.

September 4, 2005 - US Open - New York - Doubles Third Round - 11th Seed Jonathan Erlich - Andy Ramm (ISR) def. Morrison-Delic 7-6, 6-3. 

September 2, 2005 - US Open - New York - Doubles Second Round - Morrison-Delic def. Kerr(AUS)-Oliver(USA) 7-5, 7-5.  Mixed Doubles First Round - Mike Bryan-Corina Morariu (USA) def. Morrison-Craybas(USA) 6-3, 6-4.

August 31, 2005 - US Open - New York - Doubles First Round - Morrison-Delic def. Paes-Zimonjic 7-6, 7-6.    

August 30, 2005 - US Open - New York - Jeff and his partner, Amer Delic (USA) have been given a Wildcard  into the Doubles draw.  They will play the 5th seeded team of Leander Paes (IND) and Nenad Zimonjic (SCG) on Wednesday evening, not before 6:00 PM in Louis Armstrong Stadium.  Jeff also has been awarded a Wildcard into the Mixed Doubles with partner Jill Craybas (USA).  Their draw and schedule is TBA. 

August 25, 2005 - US Open - New York - Singles Qualifying First Round - Andrea Stoppini (ITA) def. Jeff Morrison 7-6, 6-2.  Jeff is hopeful to be in doubles at the Open.  More information will be provided as available. 

August 18, 2005 - Western & Southern Group Financial Masters - Cincinnati - Doubles - Second Round - Bhupathi (IND)-Damm (CZE) def. Morrison-Thomas 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.  Jeff will next be in action at the US Open Singles Qualifier which begins next week.  

August 17, 2005 - Western & Southern Group Financial Masters - Cincinnati - Doubles - First Round - Morrison-Thomas def. Erlich-Ram 6-3, 6-4.  Morrison-Thomas will play the 7th Seeded team of Mahesh Bhupathi (IND) and Martin Damm (CZE) in the second round on Thursday at 11:00 AM. 

August 13, 2005 - Western & Southern Group Financial Masters - Cincinnati - Qualifying - First Round - Stefan Koubek (AUT) def. Jeff Morrison 7-6 (5), 5-7, 6-4.  Jeff will be playing doubles with Jim Thomas (USA) after being given a Main Draw Doubles Wild Card.  They play the team of Jonathan Erlich (ISR) - Andy Ram (ISR) in the first round at a time TBA.

July 6, 2005 - Campbell's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships - Newport, RI - Jeff injured his back during practice and has withdrawn from the doubles.  He has returned to Tampa.  An MRI taken in Newport shows a recurrence of bulging lumbar discs.  His recuperation time is unknown at this time.   

July 5, 2005 - Campbell's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships - Newport, RI - Singles First Round - Karol Kucera (SVK) def. Jeff Morrison 7-6, 7-6.  In doubles, Morrison-Delic def. Carraz-Waske 7-6 (5), 7-6 (3) in the first round. 

July 3, 2005 - Campbell's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships - Newport, RI - Jeff has drawn Karol Kucera (SVK) in the first round of singles.  He will play that match on Tuesday.  Jeff is playing doubles this week with Amer Delic (USA) and they will play Gregory Carraz (FRA) and Alexander Waske (GER) in the first round on Monday.

June 16, 2005 - The Championships - Wimbledon - Qualifying  Round - Jeff Morrison def. Alejandro Falla (COL) 6-3, 3-6, 7-5, 4-6, 6-3.  Main Draw opponent and schedule of play for Jeff is not available at this time.

June 14, 2005 - The Championships - Wimbledon - Qualifying Second Round - Jeff Morrison def. Jerome Golmard (FRA) 7-6 (2), 6-4.  Jeff will play Alejandro Falla (COL) in the qualifying round on Thursday.
