My KISStory
"KISS is the only band that has this multiple personality thing. We are both Clark Kent and Superman rolled into one. KISS had a huge career wearing make-up, and we had a huge career without make-up. Having said all of the above, Superman is still cooler than Clark Kent." - Gene Simmons
I saved for seven months. I didn't even know when the concert was going to be and I assumed it was going to be with the current KISS line-up: Paul, Gene, Bruce Kulick and Eric singer. Boy, was I wrong! The original line-up of KISS had reunited! Can I get a "FUCK YEAH!"? The original KISS had returned to kick ass and take names all over the world!

November 21, 1996 was the date I was no longer a KISS virgin - yay! I saved $160 - an awesome feat for an 11 year-old - and took $140 to the concert. I blew it all but $15! If you want a review of the show, you'll have to go
here for it. All I'm going to say is I couldn't even begin to anticipate what was waiting for me at the FU Center (First Union Center). There's a damn good reason it was the year's highest grossing tour.
The next major event in my personal KISStory is the Psycho Circus concert, again at the Philly FUC. The show was awesome, once again. It did get repetitious, though, because of the little variation of set lists between the PC tour and the Reunion tour. However, they sounded very tight (tighter than the Reunion tour) and the 3D graphics were awesome! Plus, my seats were better - we (Nick and I) were near the front (we felt the pyro and I didn't need to squint) versus being in the nosebleeds.

I left the concert feeling satisfied but not wowed to the extent of the Reunion tour. Nick wished they'd play something different - like his two favorite KISS songs: "Unholy" and "I Love It Loud."
Psycho Circus was a controversial album amongst KISS fans. Click the Picture to the left to read my take on it.
