To Mom and Dad

Don't be sad Mom and Dad, Jesus brought me home to rest,
I know it's going to be hard at first, but He always knows what's best.

I know I wasn't with you long, nowhere near long enough,
But I'm at home where I can run and play and do lots of other stuff.

It was going to be a hard road for me, we knew it from the start,
You loved me with everything you had, from the bottom of your heart.

Jesus thought I'd had enough, it was no kind of life for me,
Don't be sad, I'm perfect here, just you wait and see.

I know you did all you could, you never gave up on me,
When you get here we've got some catching up to do, but we'll have all eternity.

God has something big for you Mom and Dad, but I can't give away His plan,
He needs two people just like you, a Godly woman and a Godly man.

Just remember God's will is perfect, it happened the way it was supposed to be,
I'm getting the grand tour of Heaven right now, just Jesus and me.

I talked to the disciples a while ago, they just got back from fishin',
Keep winning souls for Christ Mom and Dad, that's your biggest mission.

Don't cry for me Mom and Dad, we're only apart for a while,
Someday soon we'll meet at Heaven's gates, and I'll greet you with a smile.

I can run along the streets of gold, down by the crystal sea,
And back up on the hill at my mansion, there's a table set for three.

Gotta go for now Mom and Dad, I just thought I'd drop you a line,
Don't worry about me Mom and Dad, I'm safe in Jesus' arms, where the sun will always shine.

Keep on marching forward as God's soldiers, through the morning, night and afternoon,
I just wanted you to know how much I love you Mom and Dad, and I know I'll see you soon.
