Spirituality is very important to us; it helps deepen our sisterhood in a special way that can only come through sharing and growing in your faith in Jesus Christ.
We do this through spiritual activities such as Bible studies, retreats, going to mass together at the Catholic Student Center, and other activities.
This is the part that makes METheta great.... giving back to the community.
Our present philanthropy is with the Women's Pregnancy Center in San Marcos. We take time to help out with their activities and fundraisers, such as decorating baby bottles for their annual fundraiser. Last semester we worked closely with Redwood Springs, a local retirement home. We played BINGO with the residents, brought presents to them for Christmas, and many other exciting events. We have also adopted a two-mile stretch of highway along Ranch Road 12 for Highway clean-up, which is a lot of fun. The ladies are also willing to volunteer for numerous other activites that occur in the San Marcos community throughout the year. The ladies of Mu Epsilon Theta have experienced the true rewards of volunteering and continue to give of their time and talent to this community.
A fundamental part of Mu Epsilon Theta is sisterhood. The bond between sisters is like a family, there for support, friendship, advice, good times, bad times and fun times.
During the semester we build sisterhood through various activities, such as, social events, retreat, service projects, spiritual activities, and much more.
During the pledge period each pledge has a big sister to help guide them through the pledge process. Pledges will find numerous opportunities to attend functions with their big sister and other active members.
