Spotted Sires
Many spotted mules are the result of spotted jacks bred to solid-colored mares.  These mules have a "modified donkey spot" pattern.  It resembles some of the overo patterning more than any other pinto types.  These mules are simply referred to as "Spotted" since Paint is a breed, and pinto is a horse term.  Many Spotted mules may be nearly white, with dark areas over the back, while the low-end of white markings is white on the face and legs, (like sabino in horses, or Masked Spotted in Donkeys).
Pokey - out of a red roan Quarter mare, by a black & white spotted jack (Pokey is bay with some roaning on the hips).
Foxy Lady, by a spotted jack and out of a Palomino mare.
Samantha Peggy.  Her dam is a solid black Shetland, her sire spotted.
Mr Mose, out of a bay roan QH mare, sired by a spotted Mammoth jack.
