written in london, dec 2003.  originally this was titled 'the loss of london' but i decided to use that name on another piece, but that back drop for this piece is about the same as that one, except this pieces feels a little more urgent.  its mostly about watching everybody leav london before me.  the first verse is about feeling bad for giving a friend a hard time.  the pace and feel of this piece was heavily influenced by a death cab for cutie song.

fading away

uncover the dirt
that your covered in
your masked in disguise
did i enquire too soon

i'm sorry that i
that i took a piss at you
you said you'd come back
have you spoken too soon

i can't see straight
our days are fading away
we stand on edge
did you mean everything you said

now that you've flown
across the world
will you be heard
or seen and ignored

when you first came
you thought you could soar
but things never turn out
how you planned them before

i can't see straight
out days are fading away
your perfect plan
was never more than a plan

fall fall down

bloody

don't expect any help from me

looking out the window

there's a hole in my skull

dirty apes

where would i find the likeliness of you?

[hope]

the loss of london

liberty

home

victorian aristocracy

manufacturing plant
