I've been interested in genealogy for most of my life, especially after finding out my heritage. I've done research into my own family and those of my two sons. It's been hard at times to find information that agrees with what I have, like a giant puzzle you have to put together. It's fun and it's frustruating at the same time. The search goes on for as long as you like, going as far back as you can. It can span entire countries and centuries all at the same time. If you're lucky, you learn something along the way.
