January 21st 2003: Spoilers for the episode "Hard Time" And Other great news From Tribune Executive Seth Howard:
"OK. So after all the excitement of 'Understudy', Brennan's visit from the stork in 'The Grift', and Emma's Shakespearean romance in 'At Destiny's End', one would think that we should just shut down for the season. I mean, how can it get any better? Right? WRONG!
I just left the playback where we were mixing the next chapter in the lives of our Mutants called "Hard Time". I have to say.............Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's one of the most thrilling episodes to date. It's a Jesse/Brennan story where the two of them must go undercover in a state penitentiary to uncover the mystery of one of Brennan's old cronies.
It's a tough and brutal show that climaxes when Jesse must square off against............Brennan!
Don't want to ruin the episode for all of you but this is one hour of excitement from the beginning to the unbelievable end. It's now up there in my top ten episodes to date!
I hope that you all will enjoy this one as much as I did!" --Seth Howard
Alan Van Sprang (Howlyn From Earth: Final Conflict) will make an appirance on Mutant X in the episode "Inferno" that will air around May.
Also, there will be a recognizeable face in the season finale...
January 6th 2003 Spoilers for upcoming ep. "Understudy"
While chasing four bikers making off with a device that can freeze electron movement, Shalimar meets up with old friend Nikki (Jeyna Lano) who, like her, is a feral mutant. While Shalimar recuperates from an injury, Nikki substitutes for her on the team in its quest to recover the device. Shalimar, however, becomes increasingly suspicious of her friend's motivations. Dylan: Sava Drayton. Lucinda: Amanda Martinez. Holcomb: Michael Copeman. Jurgen Bardo: Kel Gleason
Jeyna Lano is guest-starring in the next new episode of the syndicated Mutant X television series.
Lano, whose credits include the Russian woman who is attacked by a vampire at the end of Blade, is appearing in the episode "Understudy," which is scheduled to air the week of Jan. 13.
In the episode, Lano plays Nikki, an old friend of Shalimar who was one of the first mutants Adam found when he was assembling Mutant X. Because Nikki was a feral like Shalimar, Adam decided not to make her part of the team.
"Understudy" was written by Darrell Fetty and directed by John Bell.
Following "Understudy" will be new episodes "The Grift" the week of Jan. 20, "At Destiny's End" the week of Jan. 27, "Within These Walls" the week of Feb. 3, "Hard Time" the week of Feb. 10, "Under The Cloak Of War" the week of Feb. 17 and "Once Around" the week of Feb. 24.
January 6th 2003 Sad News for Adam/Emma Shippers everywhere as Seth Howard states:
"Adam and Emma will NOT be having a more intimate relationship!!!!!!!!!!"
Jesse is NOT the character that gets injured and replaced in the episode "Understudy" and it is not an episode where they are trying out a new regular cast member.
Lauren Collins(Paige Michalchuk in "Degrassi: The Next Generation") is going to play "Megan Morrison" in the ep. "One Step Closer"
In the ep. "Reawakening" Michelle Duquet(Mrs. Denton in "The Virgin Suicides") plays "Dr.Louise Koby"
Victor is shooting a great episode now and is doing a GREAT job. It's called "One Step Closer" and let's just say that Brennan's powers go a bit out of control.
"Understudy" is an episode where one member of our team gets injured and another mutant takes their place in the team. It's REALLY good!!
Mason Eckhart WILL be back! That's the news from creatice executive producer Seth Howard who said that in season 2 (this season) you WILL see Mason in at least 2 episodes. This is great news for all the fans!
