I think the next time I come back to Earth, I am coming back as a white tiger. Then maybe I will get a little more respect from the dogs I have to live with. They can really be a pain. Last night, three of them helped my mom kill a raccoon that was bothering the outside cats. No matter how mom tries, he would keep coming on the porch and eating all the catfood. |
Well last night, Brownie was in the house, and Peanut was growling and making horrible noises. Mom opened the door, and saw the raccoon in the BIG dog carrier that the cats use to keep their food dry. Mom put it near the dogs, hoping that the raccoon wouldn't come that close to the dogs. Well, the dogs have an electric fence (underground) so they can't get to the cat box with the food in it with their transmitter collars on. Since Brownie was in the house she didn't have her collar on when she bolted out the door. At first she just tested the area, and as soon as she realized she wasn't going to get a correction (slight static shock) she went in the box, grabbed that raccoon, and Peanut and Max joined in the fun. That raccoon didn't have a change. I'm glad I live in the house and don't have to fend for myself and eat all I want before the wild animals show up every night. Well, here are the dogs that I live with. |
From the left is Brownie, a Pit-bull mix, Max, a Husky mix, Peanut, a Chow mix, and his mama, Honeybear, a shepherd mix. Honeybear was raped by a 150 pound Chow from down the street. The result was 10 very large puppies 2 months later. My mom thought she had tried to jump the fence and got hurt, because when mom came home from work, Honeybear was just laying on the ground with blood coming out of her nose and eyes. She couldn't walk for 2 days. That big old Chow really did hurt my friend Honeybear. She was a house dog until she got raped. She fights with the other dogs now, and it isn't safe to let them be together. Max, the friendliest mut, almost died last year, when Honeybear bit his leg and severed an artery. Luckily, there was a paramedic at our house at the time, and he stopped the bleeding and bandaged Max. He recovered fully. Peanut stays with his mom most of the time, but lately he started fighting back when she bites him, so my mom let him come down by the new house. He has so much hair, Honeybear can't really hurt him, but mom was afraid Peanut might hurt Honeybear. Besides, she doesn't like them fighting. |

My Momma, Laurel, has just had 4 more kittens. I know that I have 2 sisters for sure, because they are calicos, but I don't know if the other two are boys or girls. Momma won't tell me, so I will just have to wait until my human mom can make a determination. They are cute anyway and a welcomed group to our BIG family. One looks just like Momma and the last one is grey. Click on Momma's picture and you can watch the kittens grow. I am the BIG BROTHER and I am so proud. |
