Family Names
As information comes to hand and I have the time, I will add to the list below. Please feel free to email me if there is anyone of interest here, or you have any further information. The names I am researching are: Bosher, Young, Franklin, Penter, Watson, Parry, Jennings, Berry, and possibly more as I dig a little deeper. I wish to thank Carol Harper(nee Malmo) and Eric Barker for allowing me to use their research material. I would also like to thank the Salvation Army, Archives Department in Wellington New Zealand for their help. There are several people in the UK who spent time doing research as well. Without their help I would not have found some important links. Thanks also to the Lower Hutt Library and the Petone Museum.

Most of the information on this page was found in the Salvation Army Archives, New Zealand school records and Census records in the U.K and New Zealand. Those records provided the clues which enabled me to trace my maternal grandmother's family back to Peter Young. I would also like to thank Margaret Major (NZ) for her valuable information. She has filled in some of the gaps and added a few more names to the list.
