| Alicia: | Hola. Soy Alicia. Soy de Panamá, ¿y tú? [Hello. I am Alicia. I am from Panama, and you?] |
| María: | Encantada. Soy María. [I am pleased to meet you. My name is Maria] |
| Alicia: | ¿De dónde eres María, de Panamá también? [Where are you from Maria? Are you also from Panama?] |
| María: | No. Soy de Venezuela. [No. I am from Venezuela.] |
| Carmen: | (Se acerca a las dos mujeres) Hola. ¿Tú eres Alicia, no? [(She approaches the women.) Hello, you are Alicia, isn't that so?] |
| Alicia: | Sí, soy Alicia. [Yes, I am Alicia] |
| Carmen: | Soy Carmen de Panamá también. ¿No recuerdas? Nos encontramos ayer. [My name is Carmen. I am also from Panama. Don't you remember me? We met yesterday.] |
