I'm glad you stopped by, I would just like to tell you a little about myself. I have  been a christian for 5 years. I am married to a wonderful man and have four boys. I wasn't raised in or around church, my father left when I was one and my mother was into drugs so my brother and I were brought up hiding the fact that drugs were running in and out of our house all of our lives.
I left home at fourteen and moved in with my childrens' father where we experimented with all kinds of drugs and he became an alcoholic. We had our first child when I was seventeen, then one thing led to another and we had two more children and then got divorced.
I met my second and present husband in A.A., we went out on our first date and have been together ever since. When my oldest son was in junior high we moved to a little country town, where I realized my drug problem was out of control and contemplated suicide. I prayed "God, help me, I can't leave my children to go to their father", somehow, at a payphone, I found a hotline number and called.
The woman God put on the other end of that phone call helped me locate an AA meeting, (the only kind of meeting, small town), that very evening. The only thing I remember about that meeting is that my husband came in in the middle of and sat on the floor beside me and held my hand, while I cried and stared at my feet.
Soon after that I began to look for a church and me and my whole family were baptised in that church. Soon after, we adopted my oldest son's best friend from where we used to live, so at that point we had two sons sixteen years old, one ten, and one nine.
It has been a long road but I wouldn't trade a minute of it, because I know that God uses situations in our lives to build character, to season us so to speak. It takes all kinds of testimonies to reach all who God wants to reach. There are some woman that my testimony could reach that someone who had been raised in church all their lives could not.
We all have a special place in the heart of God, and when I first started thinking of Him, or when He first started working on me, I couldn't believe that God would even want to
look at me. But as I came to learn that He knew me even before I was born and set me apart (Jeremiah 1:5), knew the number of hairs on my head (Matthew 10:30), I came to know the loving Father that I had never known before.
If you feel God leading you to Himself, 'And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ' {Romans 1:6}, pray this prayer:
"God, I believe that Jesus Christ is your Son and that He lead a sinless life. I believe that He died on the cross for my sins and was brought back from the dead. I believe that Jesus is my Savior. God I know I'm a sinner, and I ask You to forgive me, I ask that you send Your Holy Spirit to live with-me that I might come to know the fullness of You. Thank You, Amen."
If you prayed this prayer you are now a new creation, the slate is clean, you are white as snow, so call a paster, a christian friend, or  e-mail me, tell someone what God has just done for you!! And I say again Welcome, my new sister in Christ!!
