Why Nandi?

Nandi was a great African Queen. She was Queen of the Zulu Nation. She was the mother of the great warrior king Shaka Zulu. Shaka referred to himself as "the Great Elephant" and to his mother as "the Great Female Elephant." "Nandi" is a word in several African and Asian languages and it almost always means the same thing: A woman of high esteem and distinction.
