Narcosis, a simple rock band speaking simple words. Narcosis formed in 1996. With Josh Finver on guitar and vocals, Rick Latifov on bass and back up vocals, and Jonny Feldman on drums. At the time the band was highly influenced by Nirvana so their sound was a Nirvana crunch. Today you'll still hear that influence in their music. The band went through tons of names. During this whole process Jonny couldn't keep up with the band, skill wise and just interest wise. Fortunatly Rick was picking up the drums at the time, so that switch was made. They got a friend to fill the void and play bass, named Mike Chepurin. At that point they decided on Narcosis. The band played many backyard parties and made a lot of noise in a church in Bethesda. The band had to take a break for 2 years due to Josh's move to Portugal because of his father's job in the US Foriegn Service. Josh got back and the band played a party in Potomac which was a fun get-together. Josh is currently attending American University in Washington DC, Rick is going to Montgomery College in Rockville, MD and Mike is attending the University of Maryland in College Park. After searching high and low for a second guitarist, the solution came in the form of Bryan Hess, who went to High School with Rick and had become good friends with the band. The band is now ready to play whatever hits them in the face. They enjoy doing what they do simply because its what they do best and because it makes them feel amazing.
