Below: A panoramic view of the inside courtyard of the Forbidden City.  What an incredable indulgence.  I can't imagine having this as my courtyard.  You should see how huge this place it.  There is a saying among the Chinese that if a newborn were to spend every night of his/her life in a different room, he/she would be about 18 years old by the time all the rooms had been slept in.

To the left and right: The view of a 'hutong.' These are the true back alleys of the city.  Sadly, a large chunk of the people live in these places.
