Thailand: Bangkok & Ko Chang (Elephant Island)
A beautiful Thai Wat (temple) on the river. (We're in a speed boat going through the canals of Bangkok)  This is what some of the view is like.

Lining most of the river are small "on the water" houses (wooden shacks) that many Thais live in.

The people live very humbly and manage to put all their money and time into the making of these beautiful Wats that are all over Thailand.
We saw a Wat hand made from small pieces of 24K gold and delicately crafted down to the last piece of metal.  The time and care they spend in beautifying their temples really resounds their devotion and beliefs rooted in a facinating history.
Left and RIght: These are some of the ruins of the original capital of Thailand, Auyuthaya.
Left: A view of one of the many Budda statues found all over the country.  This one is said to be the tallest standing Budda.

Right: A view of Wat Arun in the heart of Bangkok.
Right 2: Here we are on our first elephant ride.  What an experience!  It was beautiful.  Our trainer sang sweet songs to our elephant.  He treated the elephant suprisingly well.
Left: Here we are "pooped" after our time in the city.  We're heading to the island of Ko Chang to catch a tan and some rest.
Above: We're trying to shop at the night market in Bangkok.  Watch out for the crowds!

Left: Just enjoying the sunset at the beach!!
