NHL could wind up with team in Houston Friday October 3, 2003 Today's Houston Chronicle talked to NHL Comissioner Gary Bettman and Hoston Rockets owner Leslie Alexander about the possibilites of Houston getting an NHL franchise. Lester says, "I would be happy to bring a team in, but with the lockout looming, and teams going into bankruptcy ... when the time is right, I would like to bring a team here." Bettman also added, "We think Houston is a great sports town," it is a great potential market and the Dallas Stars' success demonstrates how well a team can do in the state of Texas."
