Well Dressed Whippet- Courtesy of Gareth HarrisESCA originally formed as an offshoot of Albuquerque Whippet Fanciers in the 1980's. ESCA holds ASFA (American Sighthound Field Assoc.) events. This past year, ESCA hosted the Regional event for Region 3. To see pictures of the 2003 Regional, click here.

ESCA too is a smaller sized club and holds its events in the spring, usually March, and fall, usually November. Most of the time, there are strong turnouts in Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Saluki, and, most recently, Borzoi. Many times, there are also at least 3 or 4 greyhounds entered.

At the November trial, a special greyhound trophy is offered for the Best of Breed greyhound, the Anasazi Sunstone Memorial Trophy. This trophy was first offered in 1996.

The membership of ESCA is open to all sighthound enthusiasts, whether or not you currently own a sighthound. Come join us at our next lure course and have some fun!
