Zeke, life continues!
July 8...
Mr. Zekie--the man is doing so well, other than a few small bouts of things, all is well. He's happy (see picture attached), he's woobie facinated (as my backyard can attest to), he eats well, sleeps well and generally is a wonderful happy soul!
He has taugh us all so much about living for the moment, nothing goes by without his noticing it. He may not have the best hearing or eyesight, but I'll tell ya, the nose KNOWS! Any new woobie in the house, is his for his "backyard". Two in particular that have come into play lately, one I bought at a second hand store not knowing it would be his #1 favorite, his WABBIT and second one he found digging around in the toy box outside the other day, his MONKEY (who makes monkey sounds if you squeeze it!)
He loves his new doggie pool and has figured out you don't have to just put "feet" in it, but you can lay down and cool off very nicely. He loves to roll around the dirt or grass whichever is handy, checking the sky or stars depending on the time of day the urge hits him, he will talk and sing to you depending on what his need is. (the singing comes into play when he has found the woobie that may have been lost for a few minutes and he wants to tell you how proud he is that he "found" it, the talking comes into play when you are looking away from him and not AT him and he wants your attention).
Live on Mr. Zekie--man, you enjoy every single day of the rest of your life. Mom is making liver treats for you today and we'll have some Frosty Paws on the side!
We all love you sweetie... your family, Pam, Greg, Jessie, Sadie and Grinnin Gilbert and all the folks who have fallen in love with you too.
There is a lady in Australia that has an aging cat that she dotes on, and she worried and fretted about what her life would be like when she lost her beloved cat. She studied and meditated trying to learn some way to cope with life's losses, and came up with the perfect idea (in my mind anyway). She lives each day in the "eternal present"...
Think about it....that's the way our animals live and think....and they are usually more content than we are. :-)
He loves the pool but today we left for breakfast and came back home to a very WET DOG smell in the house and of course on him. So we decided that the pool needed to be emptied, and set aside for a day or two. Zekie just heard too that he has to have a bath and be dried properly.
It was touch and go! When he realized we were guiding him to the bathroom with the doors off the tub he wanted to go the other way! LOL... Once his DAD came in the room though, he decided he'd rather get in himself than be lifted up. He took his wabbit in with him and held it during the whole bath routine.
degutting a gwonking hedgehog! I found the hedgehog in the computer room, with a 2" gap in his head... so guess he is now a brainless-gwonking hedgehog!
I think I have a very talented dog here... 2" hole to pull out this sized gwonker??? Yep that takes talent!
Mom loves this photo, she calls it Zekie Artwork. See on one side the nice smooth water, and the other side has a ripple effect? Yep that's MY artwork.
My favorite monkey, he makes nice irritating sounds when I squeeze him... of course not according to me, but to my DAD!
Mom says I STINK. I don't get it, the pool outside is to cool off in right? You don't mind me getting in it right? Well what's this about a BATH??? It's water too right? Mom's can't live with em and can't live without em... always cooking up something to do.
Well I guess the bath wasn't so bad after all. I got to give my rabbit a bath too and now I got my special drying towel. OK mom, all forgiven.
harumph...mom seems to think I'm hiding something... WHO ME?????
Well I guess I'm caught red-pawed! Thanks for the fun Aunti Kati! That was funfunfun!
