The Final Five

...Just before the group is officially set, Ikaika seems to be in his own world. Jacob goes as far to say that if Ikaika is chosen, Jacob will leave. This starts a long and complex conflict between Ikaika and the rest of the group. Finally, the five is chosen: Ikaika, Jacob, Ashley, Erik, and Trevor. The heartbroken two (Bryan and Mike) accept the fact and start packing. As Jacob was just bluffing, he states that God chose him to be in this group with Ikaika for a reason so, obviously, stays. Shortly after the band's second performance (which was to see if they could get a record deal), the group went home for awhile. Ikaika wouldn't answer his phone and came back very late with his brother Haku. Haku pretty much was doing all the talking for Ikaika, saying that there were unfulfilled promises, and things like that (even though Ikaika's family was the one to push him into this group). Meanwhile, all eight (even Paul) were reunited to do a photo shoot and promos for the show (as not to spoil the ending). It was the second day of the shoot that Haku declared his brother would not be going to the shoot. Ikaika did come only to announce that he was quitting the group.The guys, after much arguing, forced Ikaika to go to the shoot because it would ruin the whole show (if you catch any of the re-runs of MTB, notice Ikaika's hateful expression in the beginning credits--that's probably why.Now with Ikaika gone, who would it be, Byran or Mike? (Actually, Ikaika, Bryan, and Mike went on to form the new group LMNT with a guy named Matt. Ikaika later confessed that he only left because Mike and Bryan weren't chosen, but I think it was a family chosen thing...) Erik, on the other hand, persuaded that they could get along with four, but a totally different choice had to be made...
