the album: March 30th 2004 U.S. *Janet's stretch goal is slated for 700,000 which would put her 100,000 copies over her 605,000 April 2001 effort from All For You* Update: Janet racked in a total of roughly 382,000 copies in her first week. Beating out the first week sales set by janet. and The Velvet Rope *Four number one singles from this album would put her in fourth place for the most ever, right behind Mariah Carey* Update: Janet's first three singles failed to see top ten status although the fourth single from Damita Jo, R&B Junkie looks promising for top 5 to #1 status *The album in a non or consecutive effort would have to track 7wks. at number one to better that of the janet. album (6wks.) Update: The album debuted at #2 on both R&B and Pop Charts *Jimmy Jam has remained true to his continued comment on how Janet's albums are a diary of what's going on in her life or what has gone on. The song that is itching the ears of all fans surrounds Feb 1st 2004 and how Janet will address the issue! Update: Janet choose not to write a song about Feb 1st and just simply stated in the albums title track that's she's "makin' headlines" *Janet has once again come into an album project without a lead #1 single, previously done with Velvet Rope, but this is the first effort ever in her career to push TWO singles prior to the albums release with a contasting balance of Pop and R&B. Update: Weeks after the release of Just A Little While, an unknown and as of this moment an unreleased remix of Just A Little While produced by Just Blaze appeared on the internet entitled Love Me. The song itself if released would had locked the single into the #1 position |
