The North Haven Historical Society, established in 1957, is a non-profit, volunteer organization that researches, collects and preserves North Haven history. Membership in the Society is open to all interested individuals and their active participation is welcome.
The North Haven Historical Society is headquartered in the North Haven Cultural Center, once the home of the Memorial Library on the corner of Elm and Broadway. In this distinct Colonial Revival building, designed by architect Robert Booth and built in 1938, the society maintains its library and permanent exhibits. Members plan the society's major activities and hold their regular meetings. Volunteers meet here to plan and set up exhibits, serve as guides, take part in the annual school tour, work in our library, and care for our new acquisitions.
