Chapter Three
"...Girl I know you're mad, I can't blame you for being mad..."

"You are?"

"Yes! What are you doing here?"

"Me?! You said that you didn't wanna leave Millington, so I came back here, alone!"

"Why are you here?"

"Why are YOU here, and why do you go by Maggie?!"

"Maggie is my name now! I left Shaye in Millington, with all the bad memories there,"

"I heard about your parents and sister,"

"Yeah? Did ya here about Benjamin?"

"No, what did happen to him?"

"I'M raising him! Along with YOUR daughter!"

"Why didn't you tell me that I was gonna be a father?"

"I didn't want to remember you!"

"I've wanted to find you for the past three years,"

"Well you did, now go on with your life, me, Benjamin and Justine are fine," She said, tears welling in her eyes, walking back toward the diner.

"Wait, Shaye!"

"MAGGIE!"

"Maggie, Shaye, whatever, why are you running away from me?"

"Because I don't want anything to do with you! You're the reason that I left Millington, and I can't make a decent living here!"

"Than go back to Millington!"

"To what? A plow that grew over, a house where my Mom died, all the awful memories?"

"NO! To where we met, where we fell in love, where we made love for the first time!"

"I just can't go back!"

"Yes you can!"

"What if I like it here?"

"Than stay, but don't forget about all those memories we left there, the GOOD memories,"

"MAGGIE! WE NEED YOU!"

"I have to go back to work,"

"Fine, go, forget about me ALL over again," She shook her head and went back in. I wanted to meet my daughter, I wanted things to be okay between us, even though I knew they wouldn't be. I sighed and headed back to my dorm. My roommate laid on his bed,

"Hey J., you look like shit,"

"Thanks, that's a compliment on how I feel,"

"What's up Dude?"

"Ya know I told you about Shaye?"

"Yeah, yeah, the one that showed you what love REALLY was?"

"Exactly!"

"What about her?"

"I saw her,"

"That's great!"

"No, it's not, when I left Millington, she was pregnant, with MY child, okay, and now she wants nothing to do with me," I plopped on my bed,

"Sounds to me like she still wants you, but thinks she can't have you,"

"I freakin' straight up told her she still had me!"

"Than maybe she's just scared,"

"Of what?"

"Falling in love, all over again..."
