Chapter Three |
We talked for what seemed like hours. Lance and Justin filled me in on the past eight years, I just sat and listened. I noticed Justin looking at me intently. "What about you? You're being quiet." I glanced down at my watch, it was 3 PM. Justin was about to receive the biggest surprise of his life. And just like clockwork, there was a knock at the door. I stood up, "Please excuse me." I went to the door, leaving them alone. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lance leaned over to Justin, "Hey, she's pretty hot. You think she'd ever go for me?" Justin eyed Lance, "Dude, hands off!" Lance rolled his eyes, "Fine, is she at least coming to Florida?" Justin glared back at Lance, putting his hand up to his mouth. "Keep quiet. I haven't asked her yet." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Thanks Chris. Yeah, about 10 minutes." Then I turned around to see confused faces. Justin looked at her. "Michelle, who is this? Are you baby-sitting? I thought you were almost down with school." I looked at his inquiring eyes, there was no way out of this. I bent down beside my 5 year old daughter. "No, Justin, I'm not baby-sitting." Then unexpectedly she looked over at me. "Momma, why is Lance and Justin in our house?" I looked at his shocked face. I could see the sadness in his eyes. I had hi something from him, and we never hid anything from each other. He mouthed "Momma" to me and I just simply shook my head yes. I looked back at my unknowing child, "Hunny, remember Momma's stories about your Uncle Justin and Uncle Trace. We looked at pictures and watched movies?" She nodded yes, still a little unsure. "Well, that's your Uncle Justin." She started laughing, causing the guys to smile. "I didn't know he was *N Sync Momma. He's the one who couldn't dance, right?" I looked up at Justin, pleading for his forgiveness. Lance started laughing, "Justin not dance?" Justin smiled at the memory. He held his hand up, "It's a long story." |
