Christy Love is an African-American police detective who has the
unfortunate luck of being under the command of a luitenant who doesn't
think women should be police officers. He often gives her minor undercover
assignments to just get rid of her, but Christy has a talent for detective
work and an ability to uncover trouble, so these seemingly pointless assignments
often lead to big busts. Unfortunately for Christy, the Luitenant will
always try to take credit for solving these cases.
Christy is a woman of action, skilled in both armed
and unarmed combat, and never afraid to confront bad guys, fellow officers,
whether they be corrupt, sexist, or merely incompetent, or her obnoxious
boss.

Note: Christy Love was the first black police woman to regularly appear on television. Her catch phrase was "You're under arrest, sugar!" so it's only natural that she get a write-up, given that this site features a BESM adaptation of "You're Under Arrest!".
Christy Love was the lead character in "Get Christy Love!," a series which aired from 1974 to 1975. Although the adventures of the Gunsmith Cats and the cops of the Botuko Preceinct take place some 20 years after those had by Christy, the characters might still meet and team up, if Game Masters and players feel so inclined. Time, after all, doesn't pass for TV and cartoon characters the way it does for us in the real world... if Christy needs to still be a young detective in 1994, or if ALL the characters need to be young in 2004, then they are. Like Superman, Spider-Man, and the cast of "Ranma 1/2," they all barely age at all.
