A simple man’s wishes of a simple woman’s heart; to this I can relate.

I see your radiant smile in the skies by day.

By night, I see your shimmering face in the stars.

I hear your laughter in the bubbling brooks

and your name with every thunderous wave that comes crashing in

. . . every time with more desire.

Nature herself is envious of you.

Even the proud peacock, in all its splendor, is humbled by your beauty.

Your voice is more melodic than the songbird in the morning sunshine . . .

My thoughts are of a New England winter . . . the white, powdery snow descending from above; the faint scent of wood smoke in the air; and the crisp, clear, starry nights.

In contrast to the cold temperatures, I feel a warm happiness inside when I am with you.

No frosty wind or blizzard could quench that flame.

Outside I see lovers strolling on the beach hand-in-hand in the sunset . . .

My heart sinks, for I am lonely without you.

I have never known before the feelings that now flow in my heart,

like the blood through my veins.

I never want to stop these feelings.

Stop my blood from pumping through my heart and life will cease to exist.

My mind wanders to the future in wonder of what we will become . . .
