This 2000 year old work of art is the annual Mecca for pilgrims of the Order of Bards Ovates and Druids, although Duids from other groups are also welcome (see OBOD web site). Above the chalk figure (the horse Goddess Epona) is a prehistoric hill top enclosure, and below the horse, a site kown as Dragon Hill - the views are great from here! |

In the valley below runs the neolithic 'road', the Ridgeway. Follow the Ridgeway souhwards, and you will come to the beautifully reconstructed Wayland's Smithy chambered barrow. Head south again, and you'll eventually reach Avebury stone circle. |
