Galo S. Gonzales was a graduate of Baler Elementary School (1947). He Joined the Carmelite Fathers, and was one of the first graduates of Mount
Carmel High School (1952). A product of UP at Los Baņos, he joined the US Navy in 1957. In 1963 he was stationed in the South Pole. He was assigned aboard ship from 1964 to 1970 then at the Naval Material Command at Washington, DC. In 1978 he retired from the US Navy and worked for the Federal Government as Program Analyst and retired that
job in 1989. He joined Thomas Enterprises, Inc. as a consultant in 1989 and finally retired in 1997. He and his family resides at the suburb of Washington, DC at Fort Washington, Maryland.
