So here we have it, a game on teenage school life wait a minuite, has a game like this been made before? I think you will find the answer to that is no. Rockstar delivers and I am about to explain why.
You are placed in the shoes of school boy Jimmy Hopkins who, at first seems to be a bit of a thug. His school records point to repeated fighting, vandalism and other numerous things. It soon becomes obvious that there is more to him than meets the eye.
It's the recipe of Canis Canem Edit that gets it through. The idea simpley hasn't been done before, the idea that you can play the schoolyard, be the hero or the bully, go to class or skip them is just so apealing. And that's without taking into account the massive amounts of extra items there are to unlock when you have completed the main story. Even I haven't got all the extras yet and I actually know how to get them!
So, to sum it all up, Canis Canem Edit is the most oridgial game for years and not only that but Rockstar make the game stupid amounts of fun to play. This could be one of the best PS2 games for a very long time. Even the next gen consoles could be pushed to make a game this fun. 9/10
