Olwyn's
Enchanted Realm of Faeries
I was fortunate enough to
have been brought up believing in faeries, elves, gnomes, and the like.
It was my mother who first taught me about the faeries as well as
about elves, hobbits, dwarves, dragons, gnomes and all things
enchanted. She was wonderful enough to introduce me
to J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings at a young age - loaning
me her own copies to read. From the moment I opened The Fellowship
of the Ring I was hooked for life! My fascination with the enchanted
realm grew over the years, and I never lost touch with that part of me.
I suppose it is my way of holding onto that last shred of child-like innocence
that so many people in the world today have lost.
There is nothing
like the beauty of faerie wings glistening with dew drops in the very early
morning. You have seen them I'm sure, or at the very least, felt
their presence.. if only in your dreams. If you have never encountered
a member of the enchanted realm, may I suggest that you open your heart
and mind to their presence. They are closer than you think.
I have dedicated this region
of Rivendell to my love of the fae. I have finally begun to work on this
page again. If
you've any suggestions, or would like me to add a link to your faerie page,
please
e-mail me.
