General Hobbies and Links

I really enjoy working out, playing rackett-ball, taking baths, reading books, watching TV, good conversation and learning what life has to teach me.  I love to listen to good music.  I know that "good music" is all a matter of opinion, this is my page so it is my opinion that counts.  I also love to paint, when I have the time and the inspration. Reading is something that I am happy to do any time.  Now that I am no longer in college I am comfortable reading a book year round.  When I was in college I was not comfortable reading pleasure books because I would rather read that than my text.  So I only read pleasure books during vacation.  My favorite author is Anne Rice.  I have read all of her works.  I al always excited when she has a new book out also. I have been working on a castle index.  I have decided that I am going to try and get all of the imformation I can on different castles thorough out the world and read,catalogue, and store it.  I have made a lot of progress, but when I started this all I had not idea that there were so many castles in the world.  I know it is a very large task, but I am not intimidated by it.  I am simply intrigued.  So I make a little progress each week.  It is for my personal enjoyment, and some day I hope to ba able to visit some on my favorites.  In fact, when I go to England to meet Lee for our trip to Africa, I am planing on taking an extra week and spend some time in England.  I will try to visit some castles during that time.  I will just have to plan it well, if I want to be able to make the most of it.  Wish me luck.

I painted this picture, a few years ago.  I could not tell you what my motivation was, other than the blend of color and shape.  The goal is to make your eye move and see the whole thing.  I think I was quite successful.  The best things about painting is,  it is an escape.  Like the XTC song says, "I push my paint brush to conjure a new world while this one is slowly washed away....".  I really love that song.  The name is ,"Ballet For A Rainy Day".  I highly suggest the album Skylarking if you are intrested in any XTC music.  For some truely wonderful art visit a firends web site.  www.martinsklar.com He is a very funny and creative artist who I meet in San Diego about a year before I moved to NYC.
