SPRINT has also undermined the old German Deutsche Postamt, their post office system, that was for decades so people-oriented they would deliver cash in huge amounts in person, via the mailman, if someone sent you a wire thru their banking services. It was even better than Santa Klaus!!

Along with the Eurodollar will come the collapse of many old European systems and this DISMANTLEMENT will STARTLE "Wessies" [West Europeans] as much as the "Ossies" [East Europeans from former communist countries] had been disoriented after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Now let's see how well the West Europeans can adapt to system-wide overnight transformations that leave the citizens vulnerable to just about ANYTHING!!

The mating processes of Drosophila, is poorly understood, especially the "mating signals", whatever they might be, of the transmission of the signaling male.

ARABIDOPSIS -- a mutant weed of the mustard family. This is the third group to have their species completely genomically sequenced!

Perhaps the current infancy of human genome sequencing and comprehension of it's mysteries, will prove to be more humane than the tedious and repetitive analysis of mutant blood sucking flies, hermaphroditic blood sucking worms, and a "swings-both-ways" strange mustard weed mutant.

Microbial genome-sequencing efforts at TIGR supported by the Department of Energy [DOE] since 1995, have produced complete genome sequences for six microbial organisms: Clostridium [botulism, tetatanus "lockjaw", gangrene]; Mycoplasma genitalium [deadly "no-cell-wall" parasite of primates ], Methanococcus jannaschii [has no enzymes for the synthesis of pentose sugars], Archaeoglobus fulgidus [oxidizes fatty acids], Thermotoga maritima [from VULCANO, Italy], and Deinococcus radiodurans [the most gamma radiation resistant organism ever isolated]

Craig Venter, chief scientific officer at Celera Genomics Inc., and the International Human Genome Sequencing Consortium, the public effort, announced this week, jointly, in the journal NATURE, and in the globalized media conglomerates, that they had sequenced the human genome -- which means they have determined 3.1 billion base pairs, the rungs that make up the ladder-like double helix of DNA. Unfortunately, all they have is a repetitive readout of A's, C's, T's and G's, the nucleotides that pair up, in a digitally repetitive computer readout, in the amount of 30,000 genes. Both teams haven't a friggin clue, still, as to what the human genome code says. They only know how to count, like a treasurer counting nickles.

Genetically modified Rhizobium bacteria will profit no one and has the real potential for disrupting the entire earth eco-system. This genetic modification has the potential for upsetting the environmental balance beyond anything introduced by humans up to now, including nuclear weapons, which are much easier to control.

The bewildered team said their findings makes it clear that far from being a blueprint, the human genetic code [as they know it now ] is only a sketchy doodle. It is painfully evident to their investors that the true directions for what makes a human being, is deeply and mysteriously encrypted, not in letters of code, but in what the body does with that code.

[The tax money is slushing around all the "players" pockets, be they public or private operations, and there is lots of "cross-pollination", like in Russian rocket science during WWII, and afterwards, with Nazis and Communists and CIA directors all "dipping in" the till, and making crazy quilts of nefarious alliances in Los Alamos, Berne, St. Petersburg, and U. of Chicago. "Olsten to Pay $61 Million in MEDICARE Billing Case"

" The OLSTEN Corporation, a big provider of HOME HEALTH CARE and TEMPORARY Office Workers, said yesterday that it would pay $61 million, including $10 million in fines and penalties, to settle Federal investigations into MEDICARE billing practices.

Under the agreement, the details of which are still being negotiated, OLSTEN said that its Kimberly Home Health Care unit would plead guilty to CRIMINAL charges. Both the fine and the GUILTY PLEA were related to OLSTEN'S former arrangements with the COLUMBIA/HCA HEALTHCARE Corporation, the embattled hospital chain.

By agreeing to the GUILTY PLEA, OSLTEN based in Melville, NY, may be preparing to divest itself of Kimberly to keep the MEDICARE business of the parent company.

[...] Retaining the right to serve patients under Medicare and Medicaid, the Government health programs, is essential for hospital and home health care companies.

Both Olsten and Columbia/HCA have said that they are cooperating with Federal investigators, who are also pursuing a broader inquiry into Medicare billing by the HOSPITAL CHAIN.

Nursing home stocks

have tumbled after changes in Medicare payment and government investigations of the industry, including Beverly Enterprises, Inc., the largest NURSING HOME CHAIN.

[...] the Justice Department joined a lawsuit in Federal District Court in Tampa, Fla. The suit contends that Columbia paid Olsten artificially low prices for HOME HEALTH AGENCIES and inflated the fees that Columbia paid Olsten for managing them. The management fees were charged to Medicare."

"United States regulators will soon propose rules designed to prevent securities firms that manage trillions of dollars of PUBLIC PENSION FUNDS from making campaign contributions to officials that select the firms, the head of the Securities and Exchange Commission said today.

Arthur Levitt, chairman of the S.E.C., said that his staff had uncovered possible wrongdoing in at least 17 states that offer PUBLIC PENSIONS to tens of thousands of bus drivers, firefighters and other workers.

In a speech before a group of large investors in the United States Securities markets, Mr. Levitt said his staff probably wold have uncovered even more problems if it had had more time.

It's time we put an end to the culture of "PAY TO PLAY" in the area of MUNICIPAL MONEY MANAGEMENT," he said.

Pay-to-play occurs when public officials select Wall Street and other firms to manage state or local pension funds on the basis of political contributions.

[...] The MUNICIPAL MARKET RULE requires Wall Street bond dealers to refrain from doing business for two years with local governments whose elected officials have accepted political contributions from them.
