FAQ/Spoilers/Commentary
(Please, don't forget that this section may contain a huge amount of SPOILERS.)

The making of the series.

How frequently do you update?
- Well, the answer to this question is, unfortunately, very irregulary. I do not keep a schedule, or anything of the sort, but I try to not let it go more than tops two weeks between each. (Of course, this is not the case witht he first chapter of Way of the Warriors, which will NOT be posted until July 31 -07) It all depends on whether the chapter has been pre-written, how long it takes for my beta to look through, and real-life-stuff that might get in the way.

What does the series/chapters writing process look like?
- I have found, that, when writing stories, creating a timeline with things I have to include in every part/chapter is A and O. It is really helpful, as I would probably forget to write down something pertinent otherwise. Also, it helps me keep my head on straight, and not stray into the trap of "losing sight of the big picture." Though, I admit, I sometimes let completely inane and unimportant things slip in every now and then anyway. :) And, in "Out of the Blue" espescially, there are many "filler" chapters... *winces* I'm not perfect!

Sometimes you forget to put in spaces between words. ..
- The lack of spaces between words is very annoying, I know, but since it is a formatting problem from the document manager and uploading process on Fanfiction.Net, it isn't something I can do anything about, unfortunately.

I have found several grammar/spelling issues in the series.
- I'm very sorry about this. To my excuse, English is not my first language (I'm Swedish), and I do my best, as do my beta, but it's easy to miss small things like that. I will probably try to find a ceta for the rewritten series though, so errors such as this can be avoided.

Can I donate art and come with ideas for the series?
- Yes! It is all very welcomed - just send it to my e-mail ladyvisionary@hotmail.com. Though if the art is of very poor quality (and then I mean very poor - I'm not picky) I reserve the right to not post it here. And I give no guarantee that your ideas for the series will be used - it all depends on whether I think it fits with the plot.

General Series information.

For how long will the Out of the Blue series stretch?
- Just like the Harry Potter books, the Out of the Blue series will be in seven parts. The first two covers the MWPP-era and the first war, the third plays out in Sunnydale, and the last four covers the seond war in the wizarding world.

Where does the series take place?
- Mainly in the Wizarding world, but "Never the Same" is playing out in Sunnydale. BUT remember that the Wizarding world is part of an entire different universe, and time: Buffy travelled through a portal across time and space and ended up in a different dimension. I.e. the "BTVS-verse" and the "HP-verse" do not co-exist on the same plane...so it's not that easy to travel back and forth. lol.

Is the story completely canon?
- Since this is a crossover - no, we can't really call it canon at all, now can we? But, it may seem so to many readers. I follow the "official" timelines for the HP-verse during the first war as faithfully as I can, and same goes for "Come What May" which may seem very canon. "Way of the Warriors" will be the part where there will be more noticable differences, but it is first in "Darkening Sky" where things will really start to differ from the HP-books we all know and love, and I hope that when "Time To Go" comes in to play, it will be completely AU with an original ending. This is partly the reason why I won't seriously start to write "Way of the Warriors" until after Rowling has published "Deadly Hallows" - I simply want to make sure that what I plan to do will be nothing like what she has written.

I have found a HUGE error in the story that is not a part of canon.
- As already mentioned, this is not canon, though it may seem that way, and that error is probably there for a reason.

Where can the series be found?
- On FanFiction.Net (the unaltered version). The revised version can, in the meantime, be found here as downloadable documents. After I am done with the rewrite,  I plan on posting it at harrypotterfanfiction.com, and perhaps on Twisting the Hellmouth. I will also replace the chapters at FF.Net with the new material as well. When that happens, the old version will be the one available here.

The Actresses/Actors.

The actors/actresses you've chosen to portrait James, Sirius, Peter, Lily, Eliza and Alyssa are nothing like I imagined them! And they're not even British! Why didn't you use the actors/actresses from the movies?

- You're free to imagine them looking however you want - this is how I see them. (Apart from none of them having British accents, because, no, they're not British, so you'll have to pretend they are. That's what I do!) As for the movie actors - I don't really like them. Nothing bad about either of them, but I don't think any of them fit the part. For one, they're too old. And, not good-looking enough. It is mentioned time and time again in the books how good-looking both James, Sirius and Lily were as young. (Remus is mentioned as grey-haired and "sick-looking", but that is not the definition of not being handsome. Or a moustache.) And I don't think the personality Thewlis and Oldman used for Remus and Sirius were quite right. they did a good job, but...it was just kind of weird for me
.

Why did you chose the actors/actresses you did to portrait the marauders and co?

- Read full motivations below
:
James Potter - Jensen Ackle
s: Well, apart from being a total heart-throb, he has the arrogant/sarcastic style down perfectly, from what we've seen of him in "Dark Angel." (And, in "the Berrisford agenda episode, he wore glasses, and was still gorgeous!) Also, he can play serious/scared/brave/heroic and all other sides we know James Potter to have, as we can see in "Supernatural."

Sirius Black - Johnny Depp
: Well, for one, he's hot. And, he can act! He can be sarcastic, he can be crazy, he can be selfish, he can be depressed, he can be dumb...Depp has got it all, and would play Sirius Black perfectly.

Remus Lupin - Jesse Spencer
: He's cute, not hot, which is very vital, I think. ;D. And also, he's not perfect-looking either, which I think is important for his character. As for personality, well, as seen in House M.D. he can play laid-back, he shows a sense of humour and sarcasm, we get to see him sad and vulnarable, but also determinded and many other sides.

Lily Evans/Potter - Isla Fisher
: To be honest, I've only seen her in the Wedding Crashers, where she played rather crazy. Not something we associate Lily with... But, her parents are Scottish, so we have one actor with roots in UK! And she is a natural red-head! And she has also said the following quote: "I love the power women have. I think women rule the world because they rule men. Manipulating men - that's our job." I think that's something Lily could have said, considering she has James rather whipped... *grin*

Eliza de Mort - Kate Beckinsal
e: Don't really know, but she can play serious, angry, temperamental, romantic, sad and betrayed.

Alyssa Jones - Rachel Nichols
: I really liked her in "Alias" (the way she portrayed Rachel Gibson was very much how I imagined Alyssa to be, in certain ways) and her looks is perfect for Alyssa too, I think.

The Characters.

I love(d) insert deceased/noticeable absent character. Will she/he be back?

- There are a lot of characters in the Buffy/Harry Potter-verse, and so it is not easy to include everyone. There is no guarantee that a character that has been mentioned/included in the past will be so again - espescially not if he/she has passed away. But, as we know, dead people don't always stay dead in fiction, so, obiovusly, there is a chance. Don't give up hope
!

I hate insert character. Will you please kill her/him off or hurt him/her very badly?

- While no character are guaranteed to stay alive/remain safe in this series (which does take place during war-times, after all), I also will not do terrible or awful things to them just for the sake of it, even if I, myself, as an author may not like them that much either. If a character is "killed off" or in other ways crippled - well, then there's a reason for it. If and when I do that, it will be because of the plot, not because someone wishes/asks for it to happen.

Isn't Buffy supposed to be the Slayer? Where are all fighting scenes?

- Yes, Buffy is the Slayer, and I admit, my fighting scenes, when there are any, leaves a lot to be desired. I am not good at writing them! My excuse is that in this series, I try to play more on Buffy's other sides - i.e. being a witch, growing up and her personality/emotional side - more than her being the Slayer. Because, well, she's so much more than just a killing machine. Although, I hope, that in the rewritten series, there will be more fighting scenes, and I will try to include more of them in part 5, 6 and 7. In fact, I already have a fighting scene for "Way of the Warriors" written out... *Hinthint
*

Wasn't James a seeker?

- James is most definitely a Chaser, according to J.K. Rowling herself. It is only in the movies (that cannot - and should not - be regarded as canon) they say he's a Chaser. However, Rowling has also said that James may have played Seeker at one point (like a reserve or something) so you're not completely off. But, in my story, he is a Chaser (I also happen to like that position much better than Seeker.)

Eliza de Mort is a bit of a Mary-Sue...

- *Winces* Yes. I realised this, after I'd developed her entire character and inserted her in the story. I am really sorry! But I hope you can overlook this and focus on the things about her that's good. I'll try to make it less obvious in the re-write, though I'm not sure how yet. Maybe I'll exclude her completely, and just have Sirius fool around with lots of girls instead! (Though I don't think anyone would like that, and neither would I, to be honest.)

I wish you'd mention Peter more.

- I know he's not often mentioned, and this is something I am working on correcting in the rewrite, as I know what big part he plays. The way he "developed" in the first version of the series (and his character in general) isn't something I'm very pleased with at all.

The Plot.

What is the overall plot of the series? Where's the main conflict? It just seems to be a bunch of mini-conflicts every three or so chapters.

- I know. This is partly why I'm re-writing it. A lot of version one of the series is seriously lacking in everything really. Anyway, this is what each part of the story is
supposed to be about:

Out of the Blu
e: Buffy moving on from Angel, falling in love anew, dealing with having become a witch, and finding new friendship in the marauders/Lily/Eliza.

Red Horizon
: The First War against Voldemort: The conflicts/momevent in the Order and within the Death Eater camp, death and new life, as well as growing up.

Never the Same
: Facing Sunnydale and old friends again, dealing with the fact that not everything is like it used to, and new enemies, of course. Also, NTS is a filler-story, that covers all the years between Voldemort's first vanquish and Sirius' escape, and not a necessary read if you don't want to.

Come What Ma
y: Remus and Buffy being in the dark about Sirius' innocence and trying to capture him, bonding with Harry (and Neville) being professors and "in charge."

Will we see more of the Sunnydale-characters?

- The characters known from Sunnydale (i.e. the Scoobies and co.) had their biggest part to play in "Never the Same" which took place completely in Sunnydale, in Buffy's universe. They were also mentioned in "Out of the Blue" so we would be able to see their progress without Buffy. However, there are no more plans to re-include them in the series, except for maybe in flashbacks. But who knows?

What's to come
.
Beware of spoilers!

Is Snape good or evil in your series?

- I haven't made up my mind yet! (I won't necessarily play it out the way Rowling will in book 7 either, though there's only really two options to pick from.) After I read HBP, I was completely sure he was a "bad guy" but I'm no longer certain. I'm wavering! I like Snape a lot (however, liking a person doesn't necessarily make them good, so don't go getting any ideas. *grin*) - because he is a very interesting and complex character - and so I have trouble deciding. That's why he's rather "grey" in my series - you'll notice there are no real answer to be found when it comes to that question: I never let you know what Snape is thinking (when it matters), after all...only what he sound like to others. Though if you read my A/N:s - which are very old, and I may have changed my mind since then -  it seems like I think he's evil incarnate. ; ) But whatever I chose to do with him, hope you'll find it fitting
.

What part will Peter Pettigrew have in what's left of the story?

- Well, a big part. I don't want to say much more, but he does have a large role to play... I think I can safely say he will confront both Buffy, Remus and Harry before it's all over. Possibly Sirius as well
.

Will you have Sirius fall into the veil, like in book 5?

- I don't want to tell you, but if you "read between the lines" (*cough*Lily's research*cough*) and watch the wallpapers for "Way of the Warriors", "Darkening Sky" and "Time to Go" carefully, you can probably guess what's going to happen
.

What future pairings do we have to look forward to?

- Well, there are many possibilities. I like to leave it all open. But, there have been hints of Harry/Sarah, or Neville/Sarah. I could also make it Harry/Ginny, like in the books, or Harry/Luna (I like this pairing, though many find it odd). Ron/Hermione will probably become canon, and I've hinted at the possibility for it in my series, though if I do, it will probably only take a background stance, or be mentioned in passing. As for Sirius getting someone new after Eliza - well, if you peek at the couple wallpapers, you will see whom it might be, though you can interpret it as friendship, which might lead to more.
..

General/other things.

Tell me about yourself: What do you do on your spare-time? Are you an author in real-life?
- I'm not a real author, though I would like to publish a book in the future. Of what kind, I do not know though. I hope/think writing fanfiction helps me develop as an author though. Your feedback helps a lot! On my spare-time, I "play around" in Photoshop, write and read fanfiction (obviously), sing, hang out with friends, write lyrics and poetry, watch TV and movies, read books, and more! This autumn, I will be moving away from home, since I'll be doing a course in web and graphics design. I hope this will help in getting me away from Geocities. lol. Check out my other two websites: Across the Mountains to read more about me, my lyrics/poetry, and my other fanfiction, and Truth from Illusion to view my artwork.

I still have questions/I've sent you a question, but I haven't gotten an answer.
- If there's still something you're wondering, and haven't gotten answered by reading this section, send me an e-mail. (ladyvisionary@hotmail.com) Same thing if you have asked a question and haven't gotten it answered - You'll just have to re-send - I've probably missed it, and for that, I am truly sorry.
